LEGO Jurassic World is a family-friendly adventure/puzzle game based on the film of the same name. The game puts players in the place of familiar Jurassic World characters, but puts a humorous spin on the events of the film.
Beyond the basics, LEGO Jurassic world is a serviceable family game. It takes the same basic principles that have made the LEGO game line so successful and has attached them to a new property. Some of the new builds are intriguing, and having the dinosaurs as characters is actually a neat addition to the cast. There are a few puzzles that kids might need the help of parents to solve, but this is almost certainly a game that's meant for kids to play on their own time.
If you're looking for depth, you won't find it here. There are a few little winks and nods that fans of the series will find funny, but this is just an average LEGO game with a new coat of paint slapped on top of it. As has been the case lately, combat and driving are slightly improved, and the backgrounds look a little better than they have in the past. There's nothing new here, though, and certainly nothing to recommend this game over any other LEGO game on the market.
If you like LEGO or Jurassic World, you'll like this game. If you've gotten tired of the LEGO formula, though, you won't find anything new here to excite you. This is solely a game for the fans, and those who want something more are going to be left wanting. If you've got kids, though, this might be a good game to download.
